Long Off-Road Tour 2023: Monchique to Bilbao 1-8 October ’23 (FULL)

Brief Outline

The ‘Long Off-Road Tour’ is planned and designed around maximum off-road opportunity. The total route will be approximately 1,200 miles and The Tour is scheduled to be completed in 7 full days of riding. Each day will commence after breakfast and finish late afternoon, dependent on group progress.

The Long Tour is planned to be challenging but achievable for a rider with good off-road riding experience.

The 2023 Tour coincides with the World Superbike Championships at Portimao Circuit and our customers, have the opportunity to spend an additional 2 days, trail riding in Southern Portugal and have access to the WSBK Paddock and the Pata Yamaha WSBK Team

The Tour will start in Monchique in the Algarve, Portugal on 2nd October 2023 and finish in Castro Urdales, near to Bilbao in Northern Spain on 8th October. Riders will meet at the Monchique Resort Spa on 1st October 2023 where they will collect bikes and riding gear, meet the other riders and Rotor Adventures staff. Once you have prepared your bike and gear, everyone will attend a briefing and you will be free to relax in preparation for the adventure to begin the next day.

Each group will have two experienced Rotor Adventures guides who will manage everything you need day-by-day, stage-by-stage as you make your way through Portugal and Spain. A Rotor Adventures support vehicle will carry your general essentials and will be on hand to assist where necessary during each stage. You will meet with the support vehicle every evening as a minimum, where you will have access to your overnight gear and spares.

You should be prepared for each riding day to be between 8 & 10 hours, which will include regular stops for food and fuel. The Route comprises of extensive sections off-road, a huge variety of terrain spanning from the Algarve in Southern Portugal to the mountain areas of Northern Portugal and Spain.
