2-Day Trail Ride: South Devon
Introduction
Welcome to the Rotor Adventures’ 2-Day Trail Ride on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th August 2024
Our trail riding experiences in the UK are generally centralised across the southern counties of Dorset, Devon, Wiltshire, Hampshire and in Northwest Wales. Guided trail riding for 2 days on some of the best legal trail riding available in the United Kingdom. One of largest counties in the UK, Devon offers excellent, multi-day off-road trail riding opportunities, ranging from Axminster in the east of the county to Plymouth in the west and Barnstaple in the north.
Group size & Guides: Groups will be small and led by an experienced guide
Ability: It is ‘highly recommended’ riders are competent and experienced in off-road riding, not only for your own personal enjoyment. Trail riding in South Devon is technical in places, with single track rocky trails, difficult climbs, rock and dirt steps. The trails can be quite persistent in certain areas and offer little opportunity to alter the route onto easier alternatives.
Riders need to be capable of riding multiple days off-road and expect to be out on the trail from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
What to Expect
South Devon has some fantastic trail riding on offer
The outline plan is to maximise the off-road opportunity in South Devon over the 2-day period. Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August will be full riding days from 9.30am to approximately 4.30pm.
Guided or Self-Guided Trail Riding
You have the choice to be guided by our experienced trail guides or for those with GPS navigation experience, you have the option to navigate in a minimum of pairs on set GPX routes.
Your Motorcycle
Ensure your motorcycle is adequately prepared for 3 days trail riding and is suitable for riding the type of trails South Devon offers.
Your bike will require to be road legal to take part in trail riding in the UK. It is the rider’s responsibility to make sure their motorcycle is legal to take part in this event.
Be aware a lot of trails are situated in or close to villages, residential properties, within operating farms and we will encounter wildlife, the public and livestock. Ensure your motorcycle exhaust is not excessively loud.
Accommodation (16th & 17th August)
2 night’s half-board, luxury bell tent accommodation at Wheeldon Off-Road Centre, Totnes.
Based on 2 people sharing a large, comfortable purpose designed bell tent. Beds & bedding provided and showers / toilets available at Wheeldon Off-Road.
Dinner & Breakfast
Dinner & Breakfast provided at Wheeldon Off-Road Centre.
