4-DAY DORSET & DEVON TRAIL TOUR
Join Rotor Adventures and their experienced trail guides on some of the best trails the West Country has to offer. Off-Road on the network of trails, which will take the groups from Dorchester in Dorset, heading west through West Dorset, East Devon to South Devon, where we will ride the local area for 2 days before returning to Dorset.
Our support vehicle will carry your overnight gear and we will be accommodated in luxury cottages at Wheeldon Off-Road Centre, near Totnes.
You will be able to leave your transport at Rogershill Raceway in Dorset, which will be our start and finish point.

Ability & Bikes
It is ‘highly recommended’ riders are competent and have off-road riding experience.
Trail riding in West Dorset and Devon is technical in places, with plenty of single-track rocky trails, climbs, rock and dirt steps.
If using your own bike, please ensure it is serviceable and capable to undertake the event.
What to Expect
West Dorset and Devon has some fantastic trail riding on offer and our accommodation location, sits directly in the middle of the South Devon trail network.
The outline, is to maximise the off-road riding over the weekend, starting and finishing at Rogershill Raceway
Day 1-Thursday 5th March 26: Riders are to arrive at Rogershill for 7.30am in preparation to depart at 8.30am. Tea, coffee & bacon sandwiches provided. The route with head up the Piddle Valley and start heading west to Bridport and onto Honiton. At Topsham, we will go round the Exmouth Estuary before heading south to Teignmouth, Totnes and Wheeldon Off-Road Centre
Day 2-Friday 6th March 26: This will be a loop of South Devon, fantastic coastal vistas, crossing estuaries, great single-track riding before passing through Kingsbridge and returning to Wheeldon Off-Road Centre.
Day 3–Saturday 7th March 26: Another loop but a completely different route in South Devon, heading to the coast, Teignmouth, Buckfastleigh, Ivybridge and beyond
Day 4- Sunday 8th March 26: The return to Rogershill Raceway. Setting off from Wheeldon Off-Road Centre and heading north for Teignmouth, before crossing to Newton Abbot and Dawlish. We will pass round Exmouth Esturary for the 2nd time and then to Ottery St Mary, the Blackdown Hills, Beaminster and eventually back to Rogershill Raceway.
You will be guided by an experienced Rotor Adventures guide and off-road instructor, who will manage each day and route for the group.
Your Motorcycle
Ensure your motorcycle is adequately prepared for 4 days trail riding and is suitable for riding the type of trails South Devon offers.
Your bike will require to be road legal to take part in trail riding in the UK. It is the rider’s responsibility to make sure their motorcycle is legal to take part in this event.
Be aware a lot of trails are situated in or close to villages, residential properties, within operating farms and we will encounter wildlife, the public and livestock. Ensure your motorcycle exhaust is not excessively loud.
Accommodation
Your accommodation is at Wheeldon Off-Road Centre, near to Totnes, utilising their luxury self-catering cottages (https://wheeldonfarm.co.uk/holiday-cottages), where the trails literally start outside your accommodation.
Your accommodation is a shared luxury cottage with single room occupancy.
It is excellent accommodation and very welcoming to off-road riders.
There is secure parking for your bike overnight and jet wash available at Wheeldon Off-road Centre.
Food
Breakfast will be provided at your accommodation, every morning at 8.00am, there will be a group briefing on the day at 8.30am and be prepared to depart after breakfast.
Evening meal will be provided on Thursday 5th March – Saturday 7th March 26
Let us know of any dietary requirements. You will need to supply anything additional you require at the accommodation, Hot or cold drinks within the accommodation, snacks, alcohol, etc.
Recommendations
Make sure your motorcycle is road legal, appropriate for the activity you are undertaking and in a good working order.
It is recommended you have mousses fitted in your tyres to prevent punctures and carry adequate tools and spares for your specific motorcycle.
It is ideal to have breakdown cover to recover your motorcycle back to Wheeldon Off-Road Centre in the event of a mechanical issue.
If you feel it necessary, please bring further security measures for your motorcycle.
